Humber College bridging programs

If you’re an internationally trained professional one of the four upcoming programs offered at Humber College may be for you. Information sessions will be held on June 9 and 23 for all the below programs (times vary):

  • Engineering Software Skills Enhancement is a part-time, two-semester program that will provide internationally trained engineers with training in the latest technical and software skills in demand by Ontario employers including AutoCAD, project management and the Ontario Building Code.
  • The 15-week Pathways into Sustainability and Energy is designed for those with a background in engineering, environmental science or architecture. This $500 bridging program focuses on green building and renewable energy training including LEED green building strategies.
  • The $750 Mobile Systems Integration Bridging Program trains newcomers with an IT or computer science background in computer networking, information security, and installation and configuration of servers in a virtualized environment.
  • The 24-week part-time .Net Developers Bridging Program will provide internationally trained computer programmers with the skills required to work as .NET developers. Graduates will be able to write the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and/or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer exams.

In addition to technical training, these four programs offer additional benefits such as occupation-specific language and Canadian workplace culture training and job search help.
